Human Resources Manager -Lewistown, PA.
This position is responsible for the management of the plant's HR & Training function with strong emphasis on employee relations, training & development and recruiting & retention.
Primary responsibilities include:
Become completely knowledgeable of the key business fundamentals of the business unit. Work with Operations team and their direct reports to understand the top business issues needing attention. Identify HR components of those issues and develop intervention to positively impact the business performance.
Serve as employee advocate while balancing role of internal business partner. Monitor employment practices and decisions to ensure fair and ethical practices that foster effective employee relations, such as counseling for performance concerns, attendance, and other opportunities for improvement, and promote and maintain a high level of employee morale and a harmonious environment.
Ensure that programs, practices, and policies comply with applicable laws and regulations. Prepare recommendations to management concerning human resource policies and practices. Work closely with line and staff management to develop human resource plans and strategies to meet organizational requirements.
Work with EHS and operations groups towards achieving safety objectives, in addition, improving on overall safety and ensuring a safe work environment.
Management of Performance Appraisal process, ensuring consistency and timeliness of Performance appraisals.
Serve as the point of contact for issues related to all Benefit plans and policies.
Responsible for the administration, compliance and security of accurate, timely and complete HR records for all employees. Provide input to organization changes as it pertains to compliance reporting.
Conduct job and compensation analysis including FLSA audits. Keep job descriptions and organization charts up-to-date; provide input on significant (local) market changes in base pay.
Oversee Training department with conducting internal training needs and assessments, training related to annual performance appraisal process, and conducting non-technical training interventions tailored around performance management, supervisory practices and organizational development.
Monitor the application of all HR policies and compliance locally. Keep informed and provide updates of legislative and legal compliance requirements and changes.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
8-10 years' experience in human resources.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills; knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Individual must be flexible, Hands-on, results, efficiency, and detail-oriented. Individual needs to be a team player.
Advanced knowledge of HR and employment concepts, practices and procedures such as networking with peers and various employee relations issues.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and objectives.
Ability to interact with all levels of management and the ability to lead and direct the work of others.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
